Gran Hotel Paraiso

It was very central in the main street and also it was very near the ALSA coach station. The staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. Very well situated to see festivals.

When we were there for the Festival of the Virgen de la Guía and Folklore Procession unfortunately the Council had given permission for a massive stage to be set up in a small square area right opposite the hotel and there was much loud music with guitars and drums officially from 11.30pm until 4.30 am. There was another pop group that started at 8pm. The hotel notified me of loud late music but by the time this notice was received it was impossible for me to request other arrangements or cancel as every hotel was heavily booked. Therefore during our stay we only got 2 nights sleep (when we were away for that nighr) and another night before our departure when there was no music. This is something the Council should consider putting somewhere else but apparently this music brings people to purchase drinks sold by the music bar people. However everyone was very well behaved (and there were hundreds of them below our balcony to the stage) and just happy dancing and singing their night away! Excellent behaviour by the people involved. We ended up watching from the balcony as the only option.

Such kind staff and such clever little touches! The manager really went out of her way to help us with a problem we had and her solution really did help. I don’t want to be more specific than that because I’m sure she can’t do the same for everyone, but if you need help, they are ready to help. This, in addition to everything else, really puts this place at the top.

The room was greatyl distributed, but the location in the center of Llanes was definitely the best part of the hotel, greatly placed. I also need to add that the staff was always super nice and very friendly, obviously they were well mannered, but their friendliness really did it for me. The focus on details like the little cups in the room was great too.

The ventilation in the room. We were there in the middle of a heatwave, which I understand is not normal for the north of Spain, so expecting AC is unrealistic, but maybe two fans, instead of one, would be great as we were 4.

Very well located for the Camino. Huge room. Bit old fashioned but very comfortable. Staff were very helpful.
