It was very nice hotel, the room was clean, and the staff was very helpful! Also we had a very good breakfast, it’s perfect location 5-7 min walk to San Marco Square, a lot of fancy shops nearby!
Also there is next door bar where you can enjoy Aperol and Prosecco!)

The architecture of the building was just incredible, those maze stairways may not be anyone's favourite but I found it thrilling. The room was a beauty keeping that old luxurious aesthetic, with modern gadgets (coffee machine, digital radio, ac). The bathroom was also on that modern aesthetic and spacious enough for the twin room I booked. Also just 5 mins walk from Piazza San Marco.
You may miss the door of the hotel(I did at first). It's located in the farther end of a corner, with minimal labeling. No other problems

Excellent location, within walking distance of Venice's main attractions.
Friendly, professional and helpful reception staff.
Good base for exploring the city.
Very poor soundproofing; you can hear conversations, plumbing and toilet flushes from neighboring rooms.
Some staff members seemed more focused on their phones than on guests.
Breakfast service could be more attentive; we had to look for a staff member ourselves.
The hotel feels dated and would benefit from renovation.
Maintenance could be improved, especially in the bathrooms (shower seals, sink fittings, etc.).
We recommend requesting a room that does not overlook the inner courtyard, as it can be noisy.
Overall: The location is definitely the hotel's biggest asset, but better maintenance, soundproofing and service would significantly improve the guest experience.
