We had a brilliant time in the garryvoe hotel, easy to find, easy to park, staff were excellent

Staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful.

The only negative I would say is not being allowed order snacks from the bar!

Really enjoyed the stay and will be back again!

Our rooms were spacious and airy. The beds were very comfortable. We had dinner in the lighthouse bistro on the evening of our arrival and even though it was busy service was very quick. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Very relaxing, close to the beach, hotel has loads of areas to relax and the decor is beautiful.

The continental breakfast was our only option when we went for breakfast at 10am. When checking in we were told we could have continental/full breakfast which was being served until 10am. However when we arrived to the table at 10am we were told the kitchen was closed. Although the continental options weren't excessive there was enough of a selection. Cereals, juices, a machine for mini pancakes, fruit, yoghurt and some pastries. Plus coffee/tea and toast delivered to the table.

Hotel decor/ facilities are quite dated. Standard double room. Bed comfortable Floor shook , rattled an old free standing wardrobe which was quite annoying . Bathroom was in need of complete refurbishment, sink cracked, ceiling light missing & gaping hole in ceiling above bath. Main bar closed & we were directed to the cave bar, which was very cold, dark, dismal, totally uninviting, we took our drinks to a corridor seating area which was warm & bright.

We had a lovely night, a few quick improvements could move it to a 10/10 night.

I loved the location. The bar on the ground floor by reception was lovely to have a drink in. The view from the double doors in the upstairs room.

I was a little disappointed with the room, no mini fridge, I thought robes would have been in the room. The lighting was very poor in the room, I was searching for lighting when I was doing my hair and make up. I wasn’t really won over by the room….

Comfortable warm hotel in great location. Staff lovely, and a special mention to the waitress who looked after us so well for our evening meal. Loved everything about our stay here, and look forward to returning.

Lovely facilities, stunning location and decent price for the room.

Staff was fairly neutral. Food was quite underwhelming and very overpriced.

Disappointing

Room not available at 16.00, which seemed late for check-in. When it became available at approximately 16.10, one of the three beds had either been slept in or on. €158 for just a bed without breakfast seems expensive to me. When I went to pay the bill this was reduced to €100 and a complimentary breakfast.

The location -opposite a heach

The lack of facilities -the pool was out of action and there is nothing for children to do in the hotel. It is marketed as a Family hotel but yet no facilities for children in the hotel.

Nothing was too much for the friendly staff. Very relaxing stay with family and grandkids. Can't wait to go back!
