Location could not be better 10/10
Room was great
Poolside - pool outlook is amazing- is very small.
Pool cocktails and food are great (slow as one guy doing everything and you need to seek it out/go order).

Only real negative was on service- reception staff really did not seem too bothered with my requests and overheard multiple full on arguments with other guests in foyer

The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Taormina. It has a beautiful outdoor infinity pool with a wonderful view of the bay and an excellent restaurant with a very high standard of local cuisine. The service provided by staff in the restaurant and breakfast area was exceptional. The staff at Reception were incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering valuable assistance on visits to the local Beach Club and restaurant reservations. A highlight was a visit to a local winery - La Contea - fully organized by the hotel at very short notice.
I recommend the addition of some plants or other device to provide a little more privacy between neighbouring balconies.

The position of the hotel is exceptional and as a seasoned traveler, I feel they rely too much on this. The breakfasts were excellent, but waiting times are too long if one places an eggs to order, which I did every day ... up to 40 minutes on one day for poached eggs!! The front desk staff are top-notch.
The house keeping in this hotel needs serious attention. In 7 days there was not a day when they forgot to replenish something, such as coffee, sugar, toilet rolls. We did notice that the floors were not cleaned properly at all and even found a dried peach pip just under the bed, which must have been from a previous stay as we do not eat peaches. The cleanliness of the room was not 5* level. There were numerous requests made to be sent to the room, many of which were forgotten and had to be followed up on.
