Amazing location, friendly staff, family friendly hotel.

The washroom window was broken. We couldn’t open it for a little ventilation. I didn’t like that we had to pay for beach bits. I thought it was included.

The location was great, right in front of the beach and walking distance to the town which is right outside the hotel. Close to the city of Chania which can be reached by bus, bus stop to the left of the exit of the hotel on the opposite side of the road, literally a 3 min walk. The hotel has many pools, the adults only should definitely be tried out if you are looking for a moment of tranquility. Booking with booking.com, we were given free sun beds for the whole family throughout the entire vacation, that was definitely a plus, all in all a great experience.

The half board option at dinner does not include any drinks whatsoever, and even water has to be paid for. I would add more food options, it was mostly the same, not many local dishes and a lot of meat…

Proximity to the beach

Packed and nearly impossible to find sunbeds by the pool.

The hotel itself is very nice although a bit rough around the edges. You can tell this place has high traffic volumes. The restaurants and bars were very nice as were the pools and beach areas. The breakfast buffet was very good.

I noticed that the air conditioning in my room wasn't working. I called the front desk. They quizzed me as though this was my fault and then told me it was working. Ok, so now they think I'm an idiot. I called back and said it was still warm in my room. They sent some guy who turned the thermostat down two degrees and left. That did nothing, as the AC still wasn't working. My wife and I were warm all night long and I called back in the morning. The actual maintenance guy came out and found filters dirty and the unit tripped off. Shocking. He reset everything and said he would be back in 30 min to check it. It was more like 45 minutes and the unit was working and blowing cold. They never offered me a new room. It was I that had to request a new room and they were extremely hesitant. Since the AC was fixed, I stayed in my room because I liked it and we had already unpacked our things. When it was time to check out I asked if they were going to credit me in some way for my issues. Nope, nothing. Customer service score? ZERO.
