We stayed at Affittacamere Casa Dane' for 2 nights, September 18 through September 20, 2026. The location was very easy to find and the proprietors were very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for exploring La Spezia. The parking was included in the room rental. Our rental car was a bit larger than some and one of the ladies was on the phone with us to make sure we found the specific enclosed parking place. She gave us a code to get the car in and out. The room was up a flight of steps, And the same lady that met us helped carry our bags. The room was neat and clean and had a small refrigerator and a hot pot for instant coffee. The bed slept great. Everything was as it should be. And we were very glad to find out that La Spezia was mostly flat. We enjoyed lunch at Locanda Mercato Ristorante Pizzeria. There was a market near the restaurant and the harbor was across the street. After lunch we wandered around the market. Made for a very delightful Saturday in La Spezia.
I can't think of anything about our room in La Spezia that caused us any concerns. We did have a curtain that needed to be tightened up, and they took care of that while we were out seeing the sites.

Amazing location, clean and comfortable for our family of two adults and two children (12 and 14). No noise from the station which we were surprised about. We were able to park our hire car securely for the duration of our trip because we didn’t need to use it at all given everything was in walking distance. Excellent value for money, even including light breakfast of pastry and coffee from a nearby cafe which was delicious. Staff were lovely and accommodating.
There is no elevator to get upstairs to the accommodation so we did need to get our luggage up quite a few stairs.

It’s convenient next to the train station.
Bed was hard as a rock and it felt a little run down.
