The hotel was lovely. It was a short walk to the old town and also only 3km to the beach. They supplied bikes for free, which was very useful. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and they had a beautiful display of petals and swans making a love heart on our bed for our arrival.
The only thing was that the power doesn't stay on in the room while you're not in there, so it takes a while for the room to cool down and you can't charge any cameras/phones etc.

The hotel is a bit out of old town and is close to a lot of good restaurants & convenience stores. The staff were friendly and the buffet was pretty good for a free buffet. The room was quite large as well.
The hotel has aged a lot since the last time I was here (I came right after renovations in 2019). There was incredibly loud music nearby until midnight most nights. When checking out, the staff asked for feedback but then made excuses for it (there was a lizard in our room, and rather than them simply saying sorry, they said "that's normal for hoi an")
