The castle is located on top of a hill with a nice view over the wine region around Barolo.
The multilingual staff at reception (Ms Giuglia), bar and breakfast (Ms. Karin) were really very nice and professional.The room was very spacious and came with 2 sofas, so it could easily accommodate 4 people. The food at dinner was very good.
The management had accepted a big bus, so when getting down for breakfast there was no space whatsoever to sit; we went up to the room and came back 30 minutes later, same situation. This was really a disaster- we had an appointment and no chance to have a proper breakfast. I understand that hotels take big groups on board to fill the rooms, but if they do so, they should ensure that there is enough seating space for the other guests, too. Huge groups and individual travellers are only compatible if there is enough seating space for all, otherwise it creates tension. It would have been preferable for the group to have breakfast, for example, in a separate room or in the restaurant. It was certainly also very stressful for the staff. So in order to have proper breakfast we looked at the programme of the bus group and came down once they had gone, but we did not like wasting our timer waiting for others to clear out. Management should have ensured that there is enough space for both, I think they were getting too greedy and wanted all. It's was a pity as the place is quite nice, but our experience was somewhat spoiled.
Staff at the restaurant were ok, but not particularly friendly.

Amazing location and views. Beautiful pool area. Good breakfast. Nice staff. Spacious bedrooms.
The rooms are not well sound insulated. We could hear people clearly chatting in the corridors and from the room above walking.

A very modernised hotel. Everything is clean and comfortable. Very helpful young staff.
Had to pay for two courses in restaurant...one course alone not allowed.

Location
There was no one there to help with the luggage and no coffee machine or water heater in the room.
