Bathroom in the room. Very bug common area with nice kitchen and living room. Nice location.

The location to some of the waterfalls we wanted to see was excellent.
Everything was done over email or the phone, and the phone can be a challenge on an esim. It's nice to be able to talk to someone in person if you have any issues. We called from a restaurant and were offered a cabin instead of a room with 3 beds in the guest house, which was nice. However, the cabin hadn't been cleaned yet when we arrived at 6:30 pm. Apparently a big group that was there earlier didn't check out until 4. We could tell the cleaning staff wasn't pleased. And we appreciated the upgrade to the cabin but the bedroom was very tiny. We had wanted 3 separate beds and the bedroom just had one larger bed so my two older sons had to sleep in the same bed, which wasn't ideal. But we did like the location and it was nice to have our own space.

It is great to have bathroom in your room for this price in Iceland. Very clean hostel under glacier. Not far away from Skogafoss
Bathrom is very small and room is no big but I have no problem with it. It can be much worse in Iceland

The upstairs common area was, in stark contrast to our actual (cramped) rooms, huge and pleasant. If traveling with a group and in a social mood it would have made for a nice hang-out space. The views from our room though were quite nice, appreciated the nice big windows, and the fact that one of them could be opened to let in fresh air and cool off the room a bit (the heat was on a bit too high when we came in).
This place cost about 3-4x what it should have, commanding its high price only due to its location and it being peak Ring Road tourist season. The room was the tiniest of all the Ring Road guesthouses we stayed in. Private bathroom was nice in that it was private, but otherwise was the tiniest bathroom, reminded me of something from a motor/camper home.
