The location is amazing, right in the heart of Madrid, near the subway and many tourist attractions. The room had everything you need. The beds were extremely comfortable (they are on the harder side) and huge. The breakfast was the same every time (croissant, bread, juice, coffee), however, the pastry was delicious, and the serving woman was kind enough to serve it to us earlier as we were leaving the hostel before the breakfast was supposed to start.
The lack of AC is crazy when it's hot like that outside. I was told it's centralized and automatic and there's nothing they can do about making the room colder or even turning the AC on, so couple of times I thought I would faint because the room was too hot. I was constantly bothering the reception staff regarding this so the last day of our stay was actually plausible. Still, it blows my mind that you have to beg for the AC when it's 40C outside (while it's specifically stated that the hostel has AC). The internet was weak so at some point the network would just drop and not load anything.

The location was fantastic right in the centre with easy access to the Metro and walking distance to the palace and many other attractions. The room was clean, small and basic but it had everything we needed. Although no controls for the air conditioning the temperature was always comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was just a base for us, it was small and the bathroom, although it had a door was not very private. It was perfect however for our needs

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great.
The bedding was poor quality. The furniture was in need of replacing. The elevator was tiny.
