Close to the bay, Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park. Comfortable bed n great Irish cooked breakfast. Staff friendly.
No milk, teaspoons, only decaf coffee sachets in room. Booked room with seaview n mountain view, which we didn't get.

The home-cooked breakfast was delicious! John Diamond, the owner, personally greeted us at the door and showed us to our room, pointing out international differences in electricity and facilities. There were multiple dinner options nearby. There is a little park with picnic tables across the road. Very family friendly. The place, itself, is a treasure, with family portraits hanging on the walls of the dining room. I loved the quaint, home-like feel of the whole place. Antique furniture and beautiful dishes. Don't change a thing, John!

I stayed 1 night at Castlehouse B&B and it was lovely. The room had an ensuite, and a beautiful view of the sea & the mountains to the north. It came with fresh towels and tea/coffee facilities. I especially liked the hardwood floors & cosy decor, and the beautiful reading chair that was in the room, too! John's breakfast was second-to-none - if you're staying for the breakfast, you have to order the full Irish, it was impeccable. Everything was tasty, fresh, and cooked well.
Some minor quibbles that barely warrant a mention: the bed was very squeaky and creaky but still, I slept well! I would've liked more of a selection of cereals/yogurts for breakfast, but when the fry was that good, I really didn't mind.
