Very well located, good room size and very clean
I brought my two dogs but they have dogs there as well so a bit difficult to manage since my dogs aren't pet friendly

Location: Right on the lake. On the edge of the old city so it was easy to walk into the commercial area, but it was not noisy. Close to the Palace and Fort.
Room: Clean and enough space. Shower had good pressure and hot water.
Staff seemed surprised when I arrived, even though I was on their list. Nonetheless, they were friendly and helpful and got the room ready for me.

Very diligent and friendly staff. The facilities are a little shopworn, but staff makes up for it with care and attention.

View from the 2nd floor rooms (if you can make the climb)
Poha and tea for breakfast.
They accommodated our driver, which was very kind of them.
The hotel is partly responsible for the terrible garbage dump next door, and in the nawal sagar lake. It's a shame that they spoil the very things that bring visitors there: the heritage and the lakes.
The manager was the most complacent person we've come across in our travels anywhere.
First floor rooms were dark , dingy, and poorly maintained.
We paid for a superior double room, but took a smaller 2nd floor room instead, as it seemed cleaner and well-lit. But it had a missing window pane, a missing headrest from one bed and a dangerously dripping AC.
Maybe pre-covid it has seen better days.
One trip to the restaurant showed us the lack of cleanliness, so we didn't venture there again.
...and who on Earth shoots lizards with an air gun!!
