The location is excellent, on the main street in Douvaine. There are several good restaurants nearby, and a very nice bakery just down the street for breakfast coffee and croissants. They allowed us to park our bikes in a basement storeroom, which was very nice.
The hotel has a very small "Breakfast Room", so they make a schedule for their guests breakfast. This didn't start early enough for us, and the potential for time conflict resulting in having to take an less convenient time seems quite high. The road directly in front of the hotel (2 meters from the front entrance) has very heavy traffic which produces significant noise at all hours of the day and night. Sleeping with the windows open is probably not an option; closing the windows helps a lot, but it is a question of how sensitive you are to road noise while trying to sleep!

Wer stayed there as a base and place to sleep after attending a birthday party nearby. The hotel served our purose very well.
