Very friendly staff, small and quiet hotel in a great location relative to port, waterfront; short and pleasant walk to downtown. Management was very accommodating of my plans (for quietest room, early morning breakfast, etc). Reasonably priced compared to (more upscale) hotels nearby.
My room, perhaps because of the humid weather and being an inner-facing room, had an unpleasant damp smell each time I walked in - this dissipated (or I stopped noticing) within a couple of minutes of having the AC on. Room furniture overall could use a revamp, but everything served its purpose. To me these were minor points as I was always out of the room and very much valued the location, silence and price.

- Staff extremely friendly and helpful!
- Clean
- 10-15 min walk to the city centre
- breakfast relatively poor, but enough to fill the stomach. (I bought some fruit in the Pingo Doce a few minutes walk away on the seafront avenue.)
- reception desk only very sporadically staffed, so try to be as precise as possible in indicating the arr. time.
- a bit too expensive in my feeling.
But the super friendly staff makes up for it.

Clean and friendly staff . ok location. Nice restaurant nearby
The key we were given didn't work properly. We got stuck outside not able to get back in at night when we told the staff they said oh yes it is bad I think they need to sort this urgently. Try it out before the reception staff leave
