Family-like atmosphere and "style". I would definitely come back (when the weather is less hot)
The room was quite noisy from the street until late hours but this is the price for central accommodation. I came in the peak of a heat wave and although there was a fan in the room, it was quite hot at night.

I booked this lovely family-run hotel in Florence while I was working at Pitti, and it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Carmel and Pino were incredibly kind, caring, and helpful throughout my stay. They even helped me iron my clothes when I needed it, which I truly appreciated.
What touched me most was how dedicated they were to their guests. In the evenings, they would wait until everyone had returned safely before going to bed themselves. Their warmth and genuine hospitality made me feel completely at home.
I have never felt so welcome and comfortable in a hotel before. Thank you, Carmel and Pino, for making my stay so special. I will always remember your kindness and hope to come back one day!

The location was great and the staff were very hospitable! They were very helpful with exploring Florence and confirming to individual guests' needs. The value of the stay was also good compared to other hotels in central Florence, and it was easy to reach via the train station. The room itself was very large.
A few things could have been better. First, the room I was staying in was under a staircase and thus the door was very low, and I hit my head on the frame a few times. Some notice of the low door would be great. Additionally, the hotel requires you to leave your key with reception when you leave for the day, which requires getting used to. Something the hotel can't control is the street noise which is very present, they do provide earplugs but light sleepers may have difficulty. Finally the hot water is not very good, and has very low pressure, and looked rusty when run in the sink.
