The location to everything was wonderful. It was near some exceptional restaurants and a 15-30 minute walk to the heart of Florence. Additionally we were only a 10 minute walk from the central train station, making it incredibly easy to get around. The air conditioning worked well which was especially great as some of the days were very warm!

Close to the center of the city and the duomo, plus cafes, restaurants and more. A safe street, easy to follow entrance instructions etc.
The floor could’ve been a little cleaner, but honestly for the price of the stay, it’s fine and there was a broom so I could sweep up whenever I wanted.

A lovely quaint little place, 10 minutes walk from the main sights. Air-conditioning was very welcome during the heatwave! £210 for 5 nights was a great price, especially for somewhere like Florence with a high number of tourists. Balcony was a great addition, especially during the heatwave.
A bit of a language barrier when speaking to the host, only on the phone. Might have been easier for them to send the information over message or email, including photos etc as nothing was communicated beforehand until I was standing outside the doorway. The pictures used weren't of the actual place I stayed, or if they were, they were very old photos before renovations. The actual place was more dated than the photos suggest, the bathroom was nothing like on the photo. Their is a washing machine, which I only found on the 4th day, by accident, in the outside shed. Also, it's up 3 flights of stairs, which I don't think is mentioned in the description. The double bed was instead 2 single beds inside a double bed frame, which made it loud when rolling over during the night.

Location
The owner can only be contacted by calling an Italian number. The Romanian lady who takes care of the property was the person I dealt with. After learning that I am from Ukraine, she(owner) started speaking russian to me and then began talking about how they had suffered because of the russian invasion of Ukraine and how there are now fewer tourists. I found this extremely inappropriate and insensitive, especially given the context and the fact that she knew I was Ukrainian. It felt as though the broader context and the suffering caused by the war were being completely disregarded.
Apart from that, the accommodation lacks several basic amenities: there is no kettle or oven, and even basic items such as soap were missing from the bedroom. The stairs to the upper floor are quite steep and may be difficult for some guests. The entrance doors are also very loud, which can be disturbing, especially at night.
Overall, the accommodation did not meet the standard I expected for the price.
