Very disappointed with this accommodation, wouldn't recommend it to others.

The information and assistance provided by the owners was fine and we have no problems in this regard. However in general we were very disappointed with the standard of accommodation provided. The apartment is generally dingy and dated. In particular the lounge was uncomfortable, poorly lit and generally in need of a complete refurbishment. The seating was generally worn out and not particularly clean and no amount of scatter cushions could hide this. The front garden is generally scruffy and unkempt. The kitchen was adequate as were the bedrooms. However the thin, cheap curtains in the bedrooms were a problem since next door's movement sensitive rear spotlight in their back yard provided an on/off light show all night long. I would suggest fitting some heavy duty curtains to block out the lights. The newly fitted bathroom was fine but only served to highlight the outdated nature of the rest of the apartment. Having checked the information supplied on the booking.com website for the ground floor apartment (ie. Apartment 1) it contains many photos that are not of this apartment but of other apartments that are of a higher, more modern standard. This was misleading. If I had seen the property in person before booking I would not have booked it. At almost £900 for a week's rental in September I think we were entitled to a much higher standard of accommodation and in this regard I would request a refund of at least £250. I sent this information to the hosts by email on 10th September. They have not contacted me to discuss this

Clean , comfortable apartment. Great bathroom and kitchen, like a home from home. Brilliant location. Halfway house to Douglas town centre and Nobles Park ( we were there for the Manx GP/Classic TT) so a perfect location for us. Would highly recommend the Hutchinson Apartments.

Property was in a central location, near to the promenade. Accommodation was on the ground floor which assisted my sister who walks with stick.

There was no shower curtain so my older sisters were unable to use the shower. There weren't any hooks either to put one up if we bought one. My sisters had to have strip washes which was a disappointment. The instructions for some of the kitchen appliances were missing. The instructions were for previous appliances. We, therefore, had to guess how to use them. Property could do with modernising.
