About this cottage rental
Located in Cranston, this charming cottage for $195 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Come stay in a private, light and art and book-filled cottage on our 48-acre, 1750s working farm. Walk the trails, visit our goats and sheep and provision your meals with seasonal produce grown on the property. Convenient to 95, 295, TF Green Airport and only 12 minutes from Providence, this home is both secluded and close to everything. Centrally located to RI's colleges, universities and hospitals, this is a great option for short or extended stays. First kid under 10 stays free!* This is a great property for families-cozy enough for time spent together but also with enough space to get away from each other when needed. Kids love our farm animals and adults like the convenience to amenities and activities. With enough advance notice, we are happy to provide for any anticipated extra needs when we can and, since we live on the farm, we can quickly attend to anything that arises during your stay. This includes early check-in: we'll accommodate when we can , but plese dont call us when you are standing outside 2 hours early (unless it is an emergency-then we'll make you a cup of tea and set you up at our house for a bit). We have four bedrooms with double accommodations (second floor)and one convertible (first floor): so we can sleep 8 adults and either one adult or two kids on the convertible. Please note that our base rate is for the two first guests-after that, guests over 10 years old (*the first kid under 10 stays free!*) are charged an additional $35 a night. When booking, list only those over 10 years of age, but send us a message that explains who is actually coming so we can prepare. We have been doing this for a while now and we consider ourselves to be good and thoughtful hosts (our reviews agree). Experience has been a great teacher and our hosting has evolved over the years : we ask that you read our rules and requests (here in the app or posted on the fridge) and if something does not make sense, that you ask us about it. Book with us ! You'll be glad you did. We are always happy to share the special qualities of Hurricane Hill with our guests.

Fun place to stay, very New England. We weren’t able to walk around much due to rain but it’s a lovely spot and the host was very nice. Would stay again.

Lovely quiet country get away. Nicely decorated with lots of books and games.
Outside area was great with chairs, hammock and garden with spices growing.

The farm is charming and comfortable. The many fans kept the house comfortable. Quality beds and bedding (high end linen!) Beautifully decorated house with a well-equipped kitchen. Hosts were welcoming and available. Highly recommend this farm.

We had a great long weekend here! Drake and Wright were great hosts! The house had everything we needed for our group of 7. We were in town for a lacrosse tournament and the location was great. We traveled easily to Plymouth for a whale watching tour and a great lighthouse in Jamestown/Newport. We had a wonderful time, thank you so much!!

This was an amazing place to stay while we were visiting family in Rhode Island. The house was beautiful in a very peaceful location with lots of animals around. The hosts were very kind and we had everything we needed for a wonderful visit. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

We came as a group of 7 adults and 2 teenagers and stayed for 3 nights to attend a graduation. We would have loved to stay longer and explore the area. Hurricane Hill provided us with a tranquil place to stay and enjoy the animals and quirky house (I mean this as positive as possible - nothing negative here at all). It was nice to have a house with a well-stocked kitchen, excellent friendly, yet non-intrusive hosts, and comfortable beds. We would definitely return if we return to the area.

A beautiful house set on a working farm. I was so fascinated talking to Wright about the animals -- e.g. the personalities of llamas, the effort to save endangered domesticated breeds (a really important subject, I think), a surprising connection they have to George Washington, etc. -- that my family had to come roust me so we wouldn't miss a dinner reservation. My family of four, which includes two young children, enjoyed a lovely week! The home has every comfort you could wish for, the beds were very comfy, and the property served as a peaceful home base while we visited local family and enjoyed local activities. My kids LOVED the farm animals, and we enjoyed walks around the property. We had a fantastic time, and plan to stay again whenever we visit. Thank you!!
