Friendly and comfortable stay in Thamel

A beautiful and friendly hotel in the centre of Thamel, welcoming staff and comfortable rooms. The hotel is just a short walk to nearby markets, main attractions and temples. The friendly staff is eager to help and assist from small requests to arranging trip or sightseeing experiences. The room and beed are very comfortable and very peaceful .

Just one thing to be aware - there is no lift. For someone like me (at my age) sometimes is a bit difficult to get to level3 or 4. Make sure that you request lover level rooms if you have same issue with stairs.

Wir hatten sehr entspannte Tage in Kathmandu.

Die Lage war top, sehr zentral und trotzdem sehr ruhig. Die Zimmer waren sehr geräumig und tiptop. Das Frühstück ausgezeichnet und das Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

A perfect choice for our stay in Katmandú

The staff was friendly and always paying attention to your needs. The kitchen was outstanding and the waiters and head waiter so polity and nice. The room was clean and comfy and the bathroom quite good. Everything we needed in Katmandù. So greatful!! Thanks a lot!

Such a perfect stay

The staff are awesome The food is awesome The location is awesome Everything is awesome about this hotel. You will happy to stay there no tension. They will make you feel like home. Great spa hotel with best massages in Nepal.

Main reason for booking at Taleju was the spa. I was not disappointed. Both Anu and Simma were excellent masseuses and as a result I rebooked a number of times during my stay. Definately the best massages I had in Nepal. Breakfasts and staff were all good, and shower in the room was excellent. The location was quiet, and walking distance to Thamel and Durbar square. I had a great stay at Taleju Boutique and would recommend to any one wanting a good value for money, comfortable hotel.

Wonderful stay

Location is perfect. Though it’s in Thamel, you can have peace of mind during your stay. Great food compared to other hotels. I tried Indian breakfast, biryani and soups. All are of great taste. More than anything the staff is very courteous and helpful. They consider and deliver all your requests. Room service is very quick. Only thing I could ask for is a change of shower gel. Apart from that, all amenities provided by the hotel are amazing. Worth the money. If I’m ever in Thamel again, I would only book my stay here. Suman is very nice in fulfilling our orders. Especially customised food that we asked for. Navin and Monica are really good with information and services at front desk.

Disappointed as this stay was not as good as previous

Having used the hotel previously, we liked the location - centrally positioned in Thamel.

The breakfast was cold, as it had been laid out outside and when the food came from the restaurant for room service wasn't as expected. Bathroom was tired and would benefit from a revamp.

Excellent location and beautiful hotel in Thamel. All staff are lovely and do anything to assist. Nice and modern, clean rooms. As a travel agency, we strongly recommend this hotel.

Nice comfy hotel in a quiet yet central location

This is the second time I stayed here. It's a nice location in a quiet street, yet close to the shops and restaurants of Thamel, and about 10mins walk to Durbar Square. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and the dinner was surprisingly good. The Momo and chowmein wwere freshly made and delicious. The room was comfortable and clean. I also had a massage at the wellness centre which was perfect after two weeks of trekking.

The room was a little dark. Orange juice would have been nice at breakfast, and an option for porridge.

Good value for money

The staff was really helpful, specially Suman at the kitchen and dining. He tried to provide the best vegetarian options to me. The garden near the restaurant is a treat to watch after the busy streets around aasan, Durbar square and most parts of Kathmandu.

The location is both a boon and a curse, it’s very close to many of the attractions but the proximity also means it’s in a very congested area. The property could do better maintenance and some more cleanliness.

The Stay was Super Cool and the Staff did not miss an inch to make it a memory for life.

Firstly, whenever I would be visiting again I would love to meet the Hotel staff in person. They have created and made the memories for life. Altogether the property, food, location, ambience, room, amenities, staff was all exceptional and outstanding.

Very happy to stay here on arrival to Nepal. It's welcoming, peaceful, clean & served all our needs.

The common spaces, garden and restaurant area are very pretty, a little peaceful enclave from busy thamel. Breakfast buffet was good and the bed was super comfy. The location is great and the staff are charming and helpful.

Our room was functional and cosy with everything we needed, just felt a little small and not so much light, though i believe this is the nature of these (very charming) buildings so it's not a problem, just an observation :)
