This hotel is really special. It is literally located in a forest and yet it provides all facilities of a true first class hotel. Rooms are comfortable and wide, there was live music at the evenings. The supper buffet was delicious and cheap.

The location and tranquility.
The first experience of this hotel came when I checked in only to be told I should have arrived yesterday. Things calmed down when the receptionist realised I was right. The restaurant staff were hard working, friendly and polite. Saturday in the restaurant was extremely busy and the room was full of diners, two local singers entertained.
I enjoyed the ambience of the outdoor terrace. The food was very good.
My next encounter with staff came when I approached the barmaid in the lounge bar to request some drinks to add to my bill. She was extremely rude and this was unnecessary. Staff morale seems low. Another feature of this hotel to bear in mind is their policy of pay as you go. Nothing can be charged to a room account.

Paid extra for upgrade room with a settee. No settee in the room. Offered another room with a settee but it was a very dark room.We were told a settee was too heavy to move to our room.Solution was to bring two chairs from a lower floor public area. The chairs were suitable. The lady on reception was very helpful. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good.The service was excellent. 2nd night evening meal in the restaurant was as good as the first night. I had the best brandy sour I had the whole time we were in Cyprus, and we were in Cyprus for 7 weeks. Breakfast the first morning was table service and the food, was excellent.Again the service faultless. Breakfast the 2nd morning was a buffet. Although the selection was very good, the quality was nowhere as good as the table service the first morning. Cold plates did not help, by the time you got back to your table the meal was just warm. The location amongst the trees was cool and relaxing. It is a grand old lady of a hotel, requiring major investment. It will not be refurbished for quite a while, as it has been bought out by a conglomerate who plan to turn it into a Casino hotel. I fear that the ambience of this special hotel will be lost.
We booked this hotel with one major requirement a swimming pool. it was advertised as a solar powered heated outdoor pool, together with spa facilities. Wonderful and just what we needed,a relaxing massage followed by a drink around the pool. What did we get.NOTHING. No spa, no swimming pool.the pool was completely drained. We obviously bought this up with the hotel and were informed that the pool would be open in July (it was late June when we were there) Misrepresentation. I was very disappointed and upset. Why advertise a facility that they knew was not available.
