I was ill whilst staying at the Claymore. I have a Republic of Ireland mobile no and was not able to call 111. Whilst a staff member did lend me his mobile phone I had difficulty getting through to 111. In the afternoon we asked for the no of the local doctor but reception at the Claymore were not able to send the call through to our room which is a serious problem in my opinion. Eventually I got the phone no and rang local doctor. I think it would be helpful if the number of the local doctor was readily available to guests in the bedrooms in the Claymore. I did need to see the local doctor that day but it was very late in the evening and I would have preferred to see the doctor earlier. When I was ill I found it very difficult to get this information. Please make the phone no of the local doctor readily available to guests.

Great location. Room clean and tidy.
Stairs nice and wide for large bags. Breakfast was terrific.
Minor issue with booking as reception at the adjacent hotel.

Location
The star rating was 4 star and hotel came across as 3 star. Decor looked rather dated and a bit on the dreary side. The breakfast was plentiful but could have been better quality.
