The styling and atmosphere is quintessentially French and provides an ideal atmosphere for first-time visitors.
The location is likely one of the best. I was able to do everything I needed with a combination of walking and the hop-on-hop-off tourist tour bus, which is accessed via paid ticket nearby.
Although the bed is quite short and the room extremely small I was very comfortable and slept very well.
Direct view of gargoyles from church next door and lovely church bells.
I do not score negatively for these as they are part of the experience. But you must drop all expectations you may have in comparison to the usual big hotels as it is not fair to compare.
The rooms can be tiny and inconvenient. Breakfast is served in the room but there is only a tiny place to eat it. I am 182cm and my feet were off the bed. Everything in the room with a hinge is possible to smash in to something sharp and break (our window glass opened directly against sharp corner of desk for example). I smacked hy head against arm of shaver mirror.
If you remove your 'normal' expectations and go with the flow, then the hotel is excellent. This is the Paris style.

The location was fantastic. Could walk to just about everything i wanted to, including cafes and landmarks. Great shopping close by.
Smallest room i have ever stayed in for first 3 nights, slightly better for last 2 nights in double room.

The hotel is within close walking distance to many sights. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We had a room with 3 twin beds. It was very cramped. No place for luggage for 3 people.

Location was ideal
I booked a single room knowing it would be small. I didn't mind being a solo traveller, however the shower was ridiculously small. The shower control protrudes into a 2.5 foot space allowing for only about 24 inches to shower in. My elbows hit the wall when I washed my hair. I’m a 5’6 slim woman. The room had no view other than other apartment’s windows. But if you can deal with that, the location is stellar.
