Good service and excellent smoked salmon and scrambled egg for breakfast

No one available at reception at Tollgate to greet us on arrival ! We were not told that we would have to go to the Castle Hotel for our food when we booked

Location is great, lovely little village with nice walks. Sister hotel is the castle which is fab, we went there fore breakfast. The staff were very lovely. We went to a wedding reception at the castle and it was great. We also had lunch there which was very nice.

No reception at the property at the moment due to renovation, we had to go up the road to the castle. There wasn’t enough notice at the hotel, only 1 on 1 door. Nothing on the door that says reception which is where we looked first. The bedroom was dates but adequate.
