Maybe the issue was the type of room I booked, but I didn’t have a kettle or a fridge, which was a bit inconvenient. The bed was excellent, and both the room and the bathroom were clean. The soundproofing from the street was good, so the noise didn’t bother me. The staff were so helpful and kind, and the cleaners always made sure to clean my room

Room, although smallish was clean and quiet
The aircon appears to be set remotely and was turned off during the night. The room became warm which woke me up. There is no fridge in the room, however the desk clerk allowed me to store items in the downstairs fridge

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful but told me that they had found a taxi that would accept card payments, but guess what, as my journey finished the driver would only take cash. Also, given the security situation mentioned by booking.com, when checking in, the receptionist when asked, said there was no security situation or advice ????.
The hotel in the information does not mention that there is no lift. While there's a willing and helpful concierge, it is not just about luggage. At 78 with a heart history, the long stairs up two storeys were not welcome. That information should have been available from the start, and on the booking.com information. I am a huge supporter of Ukraine, and was disappointed by that reality being seemingly hidden.
No breakfast until 9.00 am on a weekday? I had to go out to find my breakfast.
