Excellent view from the room. Tasty food. Good service.
Rooftop bar was closed even with good weather. Not many choices for food or drinks.

View was absolutely amazing from our room. Meals both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Staff were so helpful and polite and we loved the onsen with a view of Mt Fuji.
The hotel is up a steep hill so definitely try and get the shuttle bus available through the hotel if you have luggage or else try and travel light.

stunning Mt. Fuji view from the room and the hotel lobby.
Christmas decoration in the hotel is so so beautiful.
Paid hotel breakfast is delicious,
Public hot bath with Mt. Fuji in front of you.
There seems to be free electric bicycle provided though we didn't use it, can try make the enquiry as the hotel description seems only showing normal bicycle.

The staff were all very helpful, kind and friendly. They even let us know that there were delivery services (similar to Uber Eats) in that area, and helped us with the ordering of our dinner when it was too dark for us to walk down to the city center to get food, as the hotel was located up a steep hill. When we arrived at Kawaguchiko station late due to getting lost, they even offered to fetch us up to the hotel even after the shuttle service hours. My husband and I are really grateful to the staff and the facilities (especially their private onsen) were really great! The hotel room that we picked had a great view of Fuji-san, but of course we were also lucky because the sky was clear during our stay. Do note whether you are able to view Fuji-san or not really depends on the weather condition. If it is cloudy, you will not be able to see Fuji-san be it you get a balcony room or not. All in all, the ammeneties and every about Mizno Hotel is really really great. 100% will recommend everyone to come here when they come visit Kawaguchiko.
Everything was great, there is nothing we didn't like about this place.

Property offers amazing views, near to the main sights like ropeway and momiji corridor, warm staff who helped with luggage the moment we arrived, great housekeeping who refreshed the room completely every day, clean onsen facilities with breathtaking view, room was adequately sized, with huge balcony and toilet.
Price per night was kinda high, but lower if booked in advance (rooms get fully booked up well in advance). Road up to the hotel was rather narrow.

Excellent views of Fujisan, excellent housekeeping standards, polite staff, clean public bath. All round excellence.
The dinner wait-staff were not all top-notch to be befitting of Mizno hotel and Japan’s service quality standards, but it was still agreeable nonetheless.
8.0
The patient friendly staff, the view, the rooftop bar, the hot bath 👍🏻
1) Wish there will be more option for the food as in choices (breakfast only 1 choice) and would be excellent that at anytime there will be some simple Japanese fare available. 2) We are only allowed limited nos of pillows, it would make my sleep so more better if I could hv just 1 extra pillow (sorry just my personal preference as I like to rest my head on high pillows)
Nevertheless, I will surely come back to Mizno again! Overall we enjoyed the hotel.

This property has a beautiful view with kind and service minded staff. Everyone spoke English and went above and beyond in their service. The onsen was great, the Author’s bar was cozy, multiple options of viewing Mt. Fuji are available and they offer bikes to get around the town. 10 out of 10 stay!

Stunning views, clean (though small for 2 people) rooms and bathroom
- No breakfast on the dates we were there - sandwiches we had to pay for instead, were not great
- No dinner on the dates we were there; distance from restaurants (on a steep hill and not easy to walk) - unwillingness of staff to help with transportation; no taxis available either

View of Mount Fuji is excellent! Llarge room size including bathroom. Exceptional dinner and breakfast.

View, formal meals.
Specific location is up a hill, access on foot requires traversing a narrow road shared with vehicles and climbing the hill.

So glad we got to spend a few days here during our trip to Japan. The mizno hotel is really beautiful and peaceful and made for the perfect getaway from the bustle of Tokyo. We got to enjoy some spectacular views of Mt Fuji from our room and all across the hotel. Their onsen facilities are pristine and the hot bath and cozy bar on the roof are well worth the extra expense.
Nothing really. Staff were very friendly but perhaps could have been a little more helpful with queries regarding nearby sights, the local bus service etc. The elevator/lounge music they play outside the entrance for most of the day got a little on our nerves by the end of our 3 day stay as we were just above the entrance and wanted to keep our window open. Fortunately they do turn it off at night at least.

The location and view were excellent, and the onsen was also lovely. Staff let us leave our bags there early before checking in and the shuttle bus service was great. Sadly the sky bar wasn’t open due to bad weather but we definitely would have tried it if we could.
It was nice but personally I’m not sure it was worth the price they charge - we stayed a night in a very nearby hotel the night before (with exactly the same amazing view/ shuttle bus service etc) and got a buffet breakfast and a three course dinner included in the price, and the facilities and rooms were a lot better. It felt like our room could have done with a little love too, as there were scuff marks / stains on the walls. However, we had a great stay.

We stayed 5 years ago here and planned to stay again if we were back to the area.
Mizo didn’t disappoint and keeps delivering exceptional hotel experience.
- Staff are super friendly, polite and helpful. They all communicate very well in English via email and in-person.
- Facility is well-maintained, super clean and tastefully decorated
- Our room has a great view facing Lake Kawaguchiko and Mt Fuji, one of the reason why we booked it
- Public bath has everything you need and a great view to Mt Fuji (same as the private bath at the roof top, but we didn’t use this time)
Even though we know the location is in the back alley on top of a little hill, we did find it a bit inconvenient this time, as we would like to get some groceries. HOWEVER, hotel did provide electric bike free of charge, so we didn’t have much issue.
We had loved the restaurant and the dining experience last time, but unfortunately they couldn’t provide Japanese style breakfast or dinner during Aug this year. A bit disappointed by that.

Probably the best view of Mt Fuji in the area. Loved the rooftop bar and onsen. Staff were great
The breakfast was awful. Expensive and trying hard to be fancy but was a random mix of things that didn’t go together.

A beautiful view on mt. Fuji and the lake. Everything was clean. We could borrow electric bicycles to go around the lake and the shuttle bus to the airport worked well.
The welcome of the reception staff was really friendly and nice!
The restaurant isn’t always open (the communication about this was very good) and they made me feel that it was in the middle of nowhere, but there are restaurants around and also for breakfast there is a nice Boulangerie that opens at 8.00 o’clock in the morning. You can go there by bicycle (we ended up eating instant food the first evening and morning because we were not aware about this).
We booked the private onsen, but that was a little disappointing. The shower was not working and it’s a little bit to industrial around you (the walls etc). But if you not have had an onsen experience yet, it’s worth a try.
The dinner and breakfast at the hotel was delicious, but served really fast. And it was difficult to communicate with the restaurant staff.

excellent view of fuji in a variety of places - lobby lounge, onsen, moon terrace, restaurant, rooftop, room <3
breakfast and dinner were absolutely sumptuous!

Every time I want to see mount Fuji I come to Mizno Hotel. It's my third time staying here, the view from the room is amazing.
I have always given top marks to this hotel but sadly this time there were a few things I didn't like.
The French dinner and the French breakfast are absolutely not on the level of the Japanese dinner and Japanese breakfast we ate the previous times. This dinner is one of the reasons we like to stay at Mizno Hotel. I really hope that from September the chefs could prepare again this kind of kaiseki dinner. The other gripe I have is the private onsen - a beautiful experience that was marred by the loud music. Because of this we didn't enjoy the onsen and left it 15 minutes early.
Please take care of these details next time.

The hotel room was amazing, with a great view of both the lake and Mt Fuji.
The hotel was up a very steep hill, the walk was brutal.

This hotel is simply amazing. Our group had different rooms, Japanese or western style. All rooms are nicely decorated and have everything needed. Not to mention the view. All rooms have lake Kawaguchi and Mt Fuji view. Waking up to the view of mount Fuji is simply incredible. The hotel's facilities are really nice. There are plenty of cozy reading spots and beautiful views from both lobby bar and rooftop bar. They have one onsen, with both an indoor and outdoor bath with Mt Fuji view, and additionally a private rooftop bath which needs to be booked and paid for separately. The rooftop bath is absolutely worth it. The staff is also very nice and helpful and speak perfect English. The hotel is located on a slope on the lake side. We did not have a car, but it is really easy to get around. There is a lovely lake side walk to town (around 15 min) and it is pretty easy to organise taxis. Overall an amazing experience.
Everything was great.

The hotel was great and we loved our room with the balcony and the view was the best bit. It's located 30min walk from Kawaguchiko Station but we took a 2 day bus ticket and so easily made our way to and from the hotel via the "Red Line". They also have a shuttle service for arrival/departures and you can use their bikes for free.
The rooftop bar is nice and the Onsen are very cool too. You can even rent one privately if you wish to, it's affordable and I'd say make the most of it!
There wasn't a lot of options food wise. But I don't know if that's the hotel or if that's the area/time of year. Food was only served at 6pm at the restaurant. There was no room service or options to buy snacks. I'd advise grabbing a couple of snacks from a supermarket!

The hotel has a wonderful view from the balcony! You can see the lake Kawaguchiko and Fuji-san in their full glory! The design of the hotel is also quite unique and whimsical. It does look like some magical, antique shop from a fairy-tale! There is also a rooftop open air bath which can be booked for 45 minutes with some complimentary drinks. Watching the lake and Fuji-san while soaking in the bath is joy in itself! We really enjoyed our stay and we were also so grateful to the staff who so kindly offered us a shuttle bus to give a lift during a heavy rain.
The rooms are a bit small and there was no extra bottled water at request. And no place to buy it nearby either (even vending machines).

Gorgeous, and tastefully designed.
Nothing. Everything was delightful.

Fantastic view of Mt. Fuji from our room. Lovely indoor and open-air bath and very cozy common areas. Wonderful breakfast and dinner. Staff were giving above-and-beyond service.

The view from my room was absolutely superb and the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, not to mention their fluency in English made communication a breeze. What's more, the hotel provides a free shuttle bus service to multiple bus and train stations with frequent schedules, which made getting around the city so much easier. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

The view from the rooms is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. The on-site onsen is so relaxing and the staff were really helpful when we wanted to order dinner in (all closeby restaurants were closed that day).
