The friendliness of the staff including the speed and quality of service. The location. The prices.
"Bathroom with shower in the room" was literal, ie no toilet, just a shower. But then again the shared toilet was just across the corridor.

Nice rooms, nice view, great hospitality, great breakfast...
We came as a family and used this hotel as a base for tours around. It was perfect for that. Note that it is an isolated location, which was what we wanted.
