The location on the lake is breathtaking, and the atmosphere is calm and lovely.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean and beautiful an comfortable.
Some of us used the sauna in the garden and alternated between it and the lake, and absolutely loved it.
Dinner in the restaurant was excelent. Breakfast was everything it should be.
We loved the place, and definitely be back when possible.
For us it was ok, but keep in mind that the toilet in the room is more like a cubicle, not a closed room, so you need to feel comfortable with your roommate...
The buildings of the rooms and reception/restaurant are not connected, need to step out. Also need to climb up stairs for both (again, we knew it in advance, not a problem for us, but need to be considered).
* We think that a lounge with the lake view can be a fantastic addition.

Loved being back in Schmerikon where I grew up and enjoyed being at the Strandhotel.
Very nice owner that made me feel very special. Cannot wait to come back some other time with my children/grandchildren.

The location, with the view over the lake, is amazing and the rooms are very comfortable and modern.
The “beach” looked not very welcoming, but I guess this was due to the rainy days ahead of our stay. Also, the toilet was totally open which is a little bit weird if you are not in the room alone.
