We had a very pleasant stay at Sorell Hotel Rex Zürich. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We really appreciated being able to check in earlier at no extra charge and to leave our car in the hotel parking until 5 PM on the day of departure. These small gestures made our stay much more convenient and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable bed, pleasant smelling toiletries, wonderful diverse breakfast with hot options (omelette, pancakes). The district where the hotel is located is quiet and has some visually appealing architectural buildings.

Excellent location, right next to the tram line. Easy access to central and the station. The rooms were not a bad size and the beds were comfortable. We had booked two rooms and one was immediately available when we checked in at 11am which was nice. The breakfast buffet was nice and there was a good variety of food.
The self check in and check out was complicated. Fortunately both times the staff just did it for us. However the staff were not particularly friendly or helpful apart from that. Finally the air conditioning was only a portable unit and did not really cool the room. I realise that this is Zurich and that it is not normally hot however both times we have visited in the past it was hot and the hotels we stayed in had proper air conditioning. Unfortunately the room was so hot that we couldn't really sleep.
