Okay… aber wir kommen nicht wieder

Die Lage vom Samanvaya Resort und Spa ist wirklich außergewöhnlich. Die Villen liegen super schön in die Reisfelder Eingebettet und der Blick ins Tal ist einfach nur toll. Da kommt man aus dem Staunen gar nicht mehr raus. Ein weiteres großes Lob geht an die Mitarbeiter, die sich wirklich sehr viel Mühe geben, einem einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Auf jede Nachfrage und Bitte wird sofort reagiert. Einfach top!!

Die Villa Mandala war für uns leider viel zu klein. Trotz der Angabe von 47 Quadratmetern vom Hotel fehlte uns einfach Stauraum für das Gepäck. Auch der Kleiderschrank ist leider extrem klein, daher bestand auch dort keinerlei Möglichkeit Kleidung unterzubringen. Dann, ein wirklich sehr großer Minuspunkt unserer Meinung ist die Feuchtigkeit im Zimmer. Die Klimaanlage wird vom Housekeeping immer abgeschaltet. Dem entsprechenden Muffig riecht es dann am Nachmittag im Zimmer. Das überträgt sich dann auf die Bettwäsche, Handtücher und die Vorhänge. Da das wohl immer so gemacht wird, riecht das gesamte Zimmer extrem Feucht und unangenehm. Dann sieht man an vielen Stellen im Bad und auch direkt neben dem Bett noch Schmutz und Dreck. Wir haben uns so nicht wohl gefühlt und das entspricht auch keinem Luxury Resort, jedenfalls finden Empfinden wir es so. Wir werden nicht mehr wiederkommen.

Un hotel avec vue splendide sur les rizières

L'hôtel est situé dans un cadre magnifique et entouré par les rizières La villa ("ALILA 1") que nous avons occupée était tout simplement magnifique Un choix de restauration très large pour le petit déjeuner comme pour le diner. Des plats de bonne qualité et une présentation soignée Les clients des hôtels aux alentours ne s'y trompent pas et viennent souvent à Samanvaya pour diner Le petit plus : un Afternoon Tea offert tous les jours aux clients Et comme toujours à Bali : le personnel est d'une grande gentillesse et toujours à l'écoute pour satisfaire le client

A magical few days in this beautiful hotel with exceptional service and incredible views!

Magical stay in this beautiful hotel. Incredible location and views in the heart of the unspoilt Sideman Valley. The staff are absolutely delightful and the service is amazing. The food is delicious and the home made breads at breakfast were excellent. A wonderful few days!

Stunningly beautiful hidden gem in the nature.

Absolutely gorgeous place, perfect for recharging and trips to nearby places. The Batari villa was beautifully designed and spacious with breathtaking views of Sidemen rice terraces and surrounding hills. Whether it was raining or sunny, it was always cozy and comfortable. The pool was great for swimming and walking through the gardens and rice fields on the property was a bliss. Make sure you check out the restaurant which has a great selection and really good food and the traditional Balinese massage in the spa was one of the best ever.

I could use an electrical socket closer to the table for my laptop. Everything else was just perfect.

Samanvaya is more than a resort, you feel at home! With a stunning view, this is the perfect spot to relax and have some time for yourself. The staff is amazing and they took care of everything, you don't need to do a thing. Besides that they are very sweet and genuine, never meet a staff like that!

Gorgeous setting and view, very quiet and relaxed, high standard throughout the room and communal spaces, we felt very pampered. Cocktails were amazing, we even came back after moving to another property. Restaurant is beautiful

Sophisticated Bali

We love the no children policy. Very tranquil. Property looks gorgeous. Villas and gardens are beautifully maintained. Staff are young and dynamic. Terrific food in the restaurant. International quality cocktails. Additional praise for Dandi for providing exceptional service.

Peaceful place to be

The service and the food were incredible. The surroundings were stunning, definitely our favorite place so far. Samanvaya was such a relaxing experience in itself but Sidemen village made it the perfect place to enjoy some quiet time with yourself or your other half.

An exceptional small hotel with the loveliest staff

I loved just about everything at the Samanvaya - we had the most beautiful room, Joglo, the food at their restaurant was exceptional and the staff were so lovely! The restaurant had so many dishes I liked that I had a different breakfast and dinner every day (for 5 days)

Lovely staff

Although the resort is advertised as adults only the restaurant does allow non guests to book there. During our short stay on two separate occasions we endured not only a young baby but two toddlers being allowed in. One of the toddlers was allowed to run through the restaurant while the parent dragged the other child through the restaurant to the toilet. Appreciate the additional income it generates to allow non guests, but then don’t advertise adults only. If there is good reason for booking an adult only stay be it emotional or you just can’t stand the little darlings, be aware.

Lovely quiet stay in the mountains of Sidemen.

Great resort with a variety of different bungalows. Make sure to get one with a view over the rice fields and onto the mountains of Sidemen. The interior and the design were wonderful. Very friendly staff and great food & drinks in the restaurant (lovely included breakfast). Two infinity pools with a lot of sunbeds around.

The Yoga Barn was under construction, so there were no offered yoga classes (as advertised). Unfortunately the hotel could not offer us alternatives in the nearby region/ other hotels.

The amazing staff, exceptional food, stylish decor in a wonderfully remote and tranquil haven!

Hardly anything! but if we were to be critical, and just as a potential areas for further improvement would be to sound proof the rooms if at all possible as the villa next door is quite close and we could hear our neighbouring guests coughing all night.

Amazing, Wow, So Beautiful!

Amazing, Wow, Beautiful, way beyond expectations. I am well travelled and Samanvaya is the most beautiful resort I have ever stayed in. So peaceful. It's like being in nature with all the luxuries. The breakfast options were plentiful. Fantastic service, the staff are all so friendly, the spa was amazing. We will be back sometime to enjoy this beautiful piece of paradise.

Exceptional stay with quality staff, keep it up!

A truly wonderful and exceptional experience. The staff were amazing and connected with us very well. We felt very welcomed. So much that for the first time, we got to know so many staff working for the hotel, such as: Mandrini, Made, Alina, Dandi, Komang, Eka Nanda, Ketut, and many more! Apologies if there are spelling mistakes of the names. The day trip tour guides were very friendly and shared with us plenty of personal stories and insights about the area and hotel (Village plastic collection for rice exchange, supporting local communities, etc.). Special mention to Putu & Nioman (friendly and engaging scooter tour), Gusti (safe and steady driver to Mt Batur and transfer), and Okta (Batur guide, very patient and took good care of our safety) The restaurant Asri Dining also serves quality local and international cuisine, not to be missed! Staff is also attentive and approachable. The region is away from the busy streets of Ubud, Seminyak, Canggu etc., and we were able to unwind and relax much more than expected. To my wife and I it felt like a home, away from home. We will return!

Better WiFi and faster connectivity in the room perhaps.

Views and surrounding areas. Hotel grounds are well maintained.

Inflexible slow staff. That are very pleasant but not much useful. We could not cancel (due to sunburn) 8pm massage at 11am - late. After day on hotel food and drinks most of our group got sick, some vomiting.

Very nice stay overall, would definitely come back :-)

Beautiful resort with nice view in the gardens and terraces around in Sidemen. Everything there looks and feels like a photospot, the buildings and the interior is super-nice and the whole resort just fits in there. Staff is very friendly and attentive, makes your stay there most comfortable. Food in the restaurant was delicious. Room is very clean, some rooms may offer better views than ours, but you get the nice view from the bar/pool/restaurant/shala so it doesn’t really matter. Spa area also was super clean and nice, we enjoyed our only one night stay a lot and would definitely come back.

Not the cheapest hotel you get on Bali, but there you definitely get what you pay for. Also I am personally not friend of those bathrooms with “open air” ventilation, but obviously that’s how you build there and we didn’t have any animal in the bathroom either, so it was fine.
