I had stayed there before. It was because I liked it so much and felt sorry it was only for one night; I decided to plan a longer stay, this time for 3 nights.
The main attraction for me is the food quality and the size of the meals. Usually, when cycling, I manage a starter, main course and dessert. However, I've now had 4 evening meals there and not once had room for a dessert, but in its own way it's good! It also meant I could manage the full English for two mornings. I did on the third morning, and it's big! There are plenty of breakfast options.
A nice touch was that, before breakfast, on the third morning, I sat outside in the sun reading, and the lady offered (which I accepted) a cup of tea on the house.
Finally, I like that it's located alongside the rail station, making trains the perfect way to travel to/from it.
I was a bit disappointed the bar didn't have any bitters/ales on draught. It won't stop me from going again, but it's the on thing that stopped me from giving an "excellent rating.

The food was amazing and tasty. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The exterior needs a fresh coat of paint. This just let an otherwise brilliant place down a little.
