We really enjoyed the view from our balcony. The hotel is also very well located, with a nearby port that makes it easy to reach different parts of the island by boat. The owner was very kind, explaining to us the different ways to access other areas of Crete, along with various tips for enjoying the place to the fullest.
Maybe towel changes might occur more often.

We have stayed in this location several times. The location is perfect. You can drift off to sleep with the sound of waves. In the morning, you can go downstairs to have coffee and a beautiful Greek breakfast next to the sea. The rooms are extremely comfortable and clean. The staff is kind and helpful. We will return.

The room has a beautiful view. A small balcony adds to the feeling of being in a special place. you can take the ferry to other remote villages along the southern coast.
Tourism as a whole is like a two edged sword. Cretans need to create a sustainable living so they build out from small beginnings to bigger and touristy destinations. That's what Hora Sfakion has become. 300+ locals that host way too many people. There is no bad guy here. When a place becomes too crowded or claustrophobic, I feel like I am more of a customer than a visitor.
