The location itself is excellent and located in a quiet little town. It is near the geothermal park, also a lovely local waterfall and bigger national park a short drive away. The accommodation is very clean, well kept and taken care of by the owner. There is also a hot tub available for guests to use, including a common area underneath with entertainment facilities, full kitchen and eating area. Laundry is also available for a fee with no laundromat available nearby. There is a Bonus supermarket just down the road about 15 minutes walk away, including where two tectonic plates (Europe and America) meet inside the shopping centre which is a tourist attraction. The high standard of the properly with plush and comfortable furnishings makes it feel like a 5 star resort getaway. Will stay again when back in Iceland.
