This homestay is fabulous: Perfect location in a quiet street right on the river near plenty of cheap local and more expensive tourist restaurants and cafe’s. less than 10mins walk to old town (which is noisy, hectic and pedestrian-only so your taxi cannot drive there so this location was awesome).
My room was cheap, big, quiet, spotlessly clean with a big window looking over the river, huge comfortable bed, fridge, kettle, hairdryer, hot shower, aircon, white sheets/towels. There was also a little communal balcony on the 2nd floor overlooking the river with table/chairs.
The family speaks English and organised a taxi to Danang (300k) at cheaper rate than Grab.
The family must have noticed my birthdate on my passport and surprised me on my birthday with a cake and candle, and sent me the video of it. It made my day and was so sweet of them.
I have travelled full-time for years and have stayed in a thousand hotels and I couldn’t believe the Incredible value for money and kindness of the family. I really loved this place.
You are staying in the family house with their loud little kids and the ensuite bathroom was small and Asian style where the floor is always wet. Wasn’t an issue but just be aware of it.

The family was very friendly and helpful, they helped with local information, I could have a moto ride to Murble Mountains. It was great 😊 the location is optimal, very close to the center of the city. I enjoyed my stay in Hoi An 😍
