Exactly like photos. Beautiful and comfortable room, good shower and AC, generous breakfast. Rooms are much, much better than the outside of the hotel would make you think.

Quiet and clean hotel away from busy streets. A very good value for a price. Our request for two rooms away from the traffic noise was accommodated. The windows were facing the hill with the old castle on the top, and the old train station in a distance which was not busy and not noisy. Rooms were really non-smoking as claimed in the description. (Generally, it is not always true in a number of countries including Turkey.) Helpful, friendly, and caring staff. Buffet breakfast with varieties of hot & cold food. A/C, refrigerator, and internet worked fine. Slippers were of a better quality than usually in hotels. Great location- 1 min walk to metro station and to the train station. Trains go to Denizli that is close to the world famous Pamukkale. A very nice big park nearby. 15 min walk to the sea in the center of the city.
When somebody smoked in the hallway, the smoke got into my room through the door slit. Breakfast was great for locals but it was not of the European format. What was different, there were varieties of olives and other marinated stuff, and also many components for fresh salad but no fruit. There was only a tea for a drink but no coffee or juice. The entrance to the hotel is in 100 meters in the alley that parked up on both sides which makes it a narrow walk shared with vehicles passing through. It is common for cities in Turkey (and for some other countries as well) but this inconvenience worth having a quiet place to sleep compared to hotels with easy entries on busy streets.

Location is perfect for, basmane metro station and Kornac area of Izmir.
Old and dated, our room was in need of repair, bath room shower leaked all over but the shower head! Skin was cracked multiple places . Toilet seat and lid yellowed through age. Strong smell of smoke.
We have stayed here before in a much nicer room. This was a bit of a last minute booking. Room really was not enjoyable . We didn’t get fresh towels or bedding for 4 days and then had to ask for them.
Such a shame as the staff here are loverly front of house. Just a shame room really wasn’t worth the money paid.
