Perfect stay in an absolutely lovely town!

Fully equipped kitchen in room. Bathrooms were awesome, with shower and bath in separate bathroom areas (kids loved the star light ceiling!). Loved the games and the swimming pool. Friendly staff. Good breakfast! Very nice location close to the lake! We would really recommend this hotel!

Lovely stay in a historic hotel

We were allowed early check in as our room was ready. The pool is fabulous. The breakfast was exceptional. Staff was highly professional. The shared areas outside the rooms were elegant and welcoming where you can relax and read and enjoy a drink. Very good location by the lake with easy access to city. We had room with view of pool and terrace in back.

Value for money, good location!

Location was very nice and central to walk around, or take the bus and ferry. Breakfast was okay, staff at reception and restaurant were lovely.

Hotel is a little old-school, and the room was a bit tiny - but okay for us as we didn't spend a lot of time inside. Perhaps the hotel could have told us there is a cable car available, as Google Maps took us a different way with a LOT of stairs (atleast going down!)

Exceptional

I just want to go back. I had the best time. The hotel has a view of the lake, the location is unrealistically convenient. I loved the 'honest bar', I loved the generosity and warmth outlook behind the 'honest bar'. The staff were very friendly and loved the private backyard/garden/pool area with the lake view.

My only wish was if I had a better view of the lake. :P

We love everything in this hotel. It is charming and full of characters. They share the history of the hotel along the corridor, including some really nice painting. Perfect location to stay in Lugano. Short walk to the shops, restaurant, and supermerket. Big park with playground nearby so you can enjoy the lake walk and finish it off at the park. Lovely breakfast with great service staff. Mini bar in lounge area with complimentary tea and coffee. We stay in family suites at back next to the play area so my son can enjoy himself there with minimum supervision. My room comes with pantry and kitchenette so you can cook if the easy meal if needed.

We felt like movie stars at this hotel in Lugano! Spectacular location, parking on site, great room.

The hotel is stunning. Historic, gorgeous, comfortable, perfect location and view to the lake. We are a family of four with two teenagers and we booked the family room that's off the terrace. It was spotless, spacious, comfortable, great air conditioning. Marcello is the best! So friendly! We loved the rooftop pool and outdoor ping pong table.

Breakfast is standard fare, nothing super special.

Great choice for Lugano

Excellent accomodation choice for Lugano. Location good, right opposite bus stop from train station and a short walk to the town centre. Very good breakfast with many food choices. Pleasant and helpful staff. Beautiful pool and sundeck area. Highly recommend.

Staff: Rafaella at the front desk and the bartender, so sweet and caring. We booked the Belle Epoque room and felt trasported back in time in the best possible way! Great location and value. Lovely pool area.

Beautiful hotel with the perfect location and lovely pool

The hotel was lovely. All of the common areas were pretty, decorated with artwork or nice views. The breakfast was very good and one of the bigger selections that we had seen in Switzerland. The rooms were not huge but a good size. Our room overlooked the lovely pool area. We swam in the pool which was a little chilly but very refreshing. The room was clean with a good sized bathroom and comfortable bed. Location was perfect. It was right next door to the Santa Maria Church and was right on the promenade close to restaurants and shopping.

The walk to the hotel was long and down many steps however our hotel concierge mentioned there is a better way and pointed us to a different route via bus (free with our Swiss travel pass) for our return trip and it was much better and did not involve stairs.

Lovely older style hotel in very good location. Our room Belle Epoch was lovely.

Good location very close to the Lac and the shops/ restaurants. Very good breakfast with a wide range of hot and cold offerings, great coffee too.

The pool is somewhat small and outdated and lacked shade which was essential in 36C heat. The lower terrace although very pleasant also lacked shade so we didn't use the outside facilities at all. Drinks in the honour bar quite expensive apart from the beer.

Lovely spacious room, sneaky side view of the lake 😎 Staff very helpful with travel info. Outside pool and garden area an added bonus topped off with a lovely breakfast

Only the location and to some extent the breakfast. Breakfast was not exceptional but good.

Half the hotel needs to be renovated badly. Very inflexible policies. They want to charge for everything. Even small things like a late check out which is very common. No minibar in the rooms. One must check the rooms before occupying. Bad value for money.

The open swimming pool is so great, free towels are available for the pool. The personal is great and nice.

perfectly located. breakfast was great, always enjoy having a breakfast in the hotel which then allows you to venture out for the rest of the day. pool was fantastic. everything was clean.

only downside, I would have loved a kettle in the room to have my night time tea.
