Hotel Temple Ponferrada

Location was a 5 minute walk from the town. Bikes parked in a secure carpark below the hotel with easy access to reception. Easy check-in followed by a quick walk into town for a selection of good bars and restaurants. Easy to find the hotel and with a petrol station opposite the car park this is a perfect hotel for bikers on a tour.

Modern lifts that went to the basement carpark.

hotel with flair. travelling by car it was easy to find and to park. Good location close to town centre and opposite a large park. Very helpfull team at reception. Perfect place to stay

The morning front desk guy spoke good English and was servceminded.

This is 4* hotel in a very bad state. I cut my foot on broken floor tiles in my room. When i asked for a bucket (like the one used to cool wine) of ice, they told me that they didn't have any and brought me 8 pcs. of ice cubes in a plastic bag, not in a glass but a plastic bag. When I asked for more ice, they (young woman at the front desk) told me that I couldn't get more and that I could go to the nearby petrol station and buy it. I travel for a living and have never been in a (worse) 4* hotel that can't afford to give ice to a customer. I needed ice because both my knees hurt because I just walked 31 km on Camino. Also, in my room booking confirmation, there was a confirmed mini bar, which I needed to cool my water, but there was no mini bar, so I was not given what I paid for. There was no toillet brush at the bathroom! All in all, this hotel is at best 2*
