Very central, walking dustance from Salsomaggiore train station.
Facilities in the room looed quite dated

Very professional receptionist, and very pleasant. I was passing by to go down south and it was really helpful to be in touch with her, willing to provide good details and set up things right even before my arrival.
The hotel is charming and very clean with all the comfort needed. I wish I would stay one more night.
If you come with your own véhiculé, beware the Salsomaggiore ''ZTL'' area. The hotel in itself is great.

Staff were excellent and very helpful . we arrived late , no problem we were able to leave the luggage for later collection

Excellent central location, faded baroque grandeur on a large scale - lots of marble, fantastic parquet floors, ornate detailing, grand piano in anti-chamber to dining room), spacious, lift, rooms with French windows to sunny balcony large enough to sit on. Good bedding n towels. bidet, AC in rooms worked fine. I had bath w shower; my friend only a shower.
Rather run down, not well kept (how hard is it to clean marks off walls, replace broken lightbulbs?), poorly managed (after two failed requests to deal w it, my friend resorted to unscrewing shower head n taking to reception to ask them to swap for a working one, then it was replaced). Breakfasts - buffet with lovely tarts etc but we craved protein. Randomly ham, mortadella, cheese n boiled eggs, but we had to ask for them some mornings. Room furniture in 1960s time warp n very limited plug points, not vacuumed during our stay. some staff were friendly n helpful; some clueless n couldn’t be bothered.
