Very close to location of the Lap Ultra, and to access other areas around the lake, breakfast was freshly cooked to order, room was cosy

Our ground floor room was comfortable and had direct access to the garden. Colin, the owner, was very friendly and chatty, giving us useful information about the area and different local attractions. The breakfast was delicious with a good selection of cereals, a tasty fresh berry mixture, yoghurt and cooked items that were prepared to order. The location at Lakeside was handy for cruises on Windermere, steam train rides to Haverthwaite, an aquarium and a pleasant walk to Newby Bridge where there was a choice of two hotels for evening meals and bus stops.
The compact ensuite had limited space for hanging towels but these were replaced daily. The WiFi wasn't working for part of our stay although it was fixed on the day we left.
