I recently spent a wonderful stay at The Wyvill Arms, a charming small country inn tucked away in Village of Leyburn, and I must say it exceeded every expectation. The accommodations are cozy and immaculately maintained. my room featured rustic charm with all modern conveniences—comfortable beds with crisp linens, a well-appointed ensuite bathroom, and thoughtful touches like toiletries. The decor perfectly captures the spirit of the region without feeling forced or overly themed. Everything you need is there; nothing unnecessary clutters the space. the restaurant showcases an impressive local food menu that celebrates regional ingredients and traditional recipes. We enjoyed a spectacular three-course dinner featuring locally-sourced produce, and perfectly prepared dishes. The chef clearly has deep knowledge of and respect for the area's culinary heritage. Every plate was beautifully presented and bursting with genuine flavor. But the breakfast—oh, the breakfast!—deserves special mention. This was the best cooked breakfast I've experienced in years. Fresh eggs prepared to perfection, crispy bacon, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms sautéed in butter, local black pudding. Nothing came from a freezer; everything tasted like it had been carefully sourced that morning. The attention to detail was remarkable, and the generous portions set us up beautifully for our day of exploring.
