The room was spacious, well decorated and immaculately clean. 4 poster bed with beautiful white linen & really comfortable mattress. The quality of the food was outstanding - fresh, locally sourced ingredients cooked in an imaginative way - not your average pub food. Friendly, respectful staff. We will definitely stay again

The food was exceptional. Rooms comfortable and quirky. Loved the whole experience. It is now our go to stopover on our way to and from Scotland. Good as any first class hotel and better than some I have stayed in.

In the countryside, near to Leyburn where there is plenty to do outdoors. The staff were welcoming, and helpful. The food (especially the Steals) was freshly cooked, the beer was on tap (who doesn’t like a pint of Wainright).
I arrived later than I expected and so really didn’t get to enjoy the room and services available.
