SALT of Palmar, Adult-only, a Member of Design Hotels

The hotel was very comfortable with rooms facing straight out to the sea, and the staff were all incredibly helpful and always smiling.

The hotel was gorgeous, right on the seafront with lovely part of the beach. It was a bit of a distance to track to any restaurant or village amenities and there were a few problems with attentiveness in looking after The room supplies (however this was quick resolved.)

We spent 8 wonderful days at Salt of Palmar, and it was truly a dream holiday! Salt is an exceptional boutique hotel: intimate, peaceful, stylish, and with a distinctive signature gastronomy and outstanding service. This is not just another commercial hotel, but a place where genuine hospitality takes centre stage, where attention to detail and the individual needs of every guest truly matter. You can feel that every experience is thoughtfully designed to make each guest feel special. The staff are simply amazing. I honestly believe that the word "No" does not exist in their vocabulary – their answer to almost any request is a genuine, warm and enthusiastic "Of course!" Beyond its breathtaking location, what makes Salt so special is the incredible variety of experiences it offers. If you are an active person, Salt is definitely the place for you! The hotel has a well-equipped gym, complemented by fresh juices, protein treats and fresh fruit. Its house boat offers complimentary activities such as kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, pedal boats and glass-bottom boat trips. The beach is perfect for a morning run, while yoga and stretching sessions take place in the beautiful hotel garden. You can even enjoy floating fitness sessions in the pool. If you appreciate art and creativity, Salt offers painting workshops that add a lovely personal touch to your holiday. If you are looking for relaxation and indulgence, the spa is another reason to choose Salt. If you enjoy rooftop experiences and memorable evenings, the rooftop bar, with its themed evenings and wonderful atmosphere, is a place you should not miss. But above all, what truly makes the difference is the people. The entire team welcomes you with genuine smiles, warmth and an incredible willingness to help. Their attitude makes you feel not just like a guest, but genuinely welcome and appreciated.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Everything from start to finish was amazing. Full board or all inclusive is well worth doing. Fantastic food and drink options. Would come back in a heartbeat.

I appreciated that there are no TVs in the room, which, I think is supposed to reduce the noise levels. Yoga mat is a nice addition, too. Most staff we interacted with seem to be very friendly and are trying to be helpful. Hotel feels quite original, both in architecture and room concept, as well as the fact that there's no classic reception - instead, check-in is being done in a more casual way at the lobby.

It's unfortunate that hotel is designed in a circular way which causes a lot of echo through hallways so if any guest is loud in the hotel, you are bound to hear it. Also if there's music at the restaurant/bar or the lobby, there's not a single room where music is entirely inaudible due to semi-circular shape and open plan design. If you are not sound-sensitive like we are (especially my wife who is autistic), probably you won't mind it, but we struggled with this and had to have our room changed to the farthest one - which hotel gladly did. We particularly struggled because on that day there was a screening of World Cup finals in the lobby (we booked a hotel just to escape even louder environment of our neighborhood where sports center had a full-night party), but considering that events like that don't happen on a regular basis, I believe that the hotel is otherwise silent during nights.
