An absolutely exceptional stay at SALT of Palmar. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were phenomenal, warm, attentive, genuine and always willing to go the extra mile. The facilities were amazing, the service was exceptional, and every detail of our stay was handled with such care. I genuinely cannot fault a single thing. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow room, and waking up every morning to those breathtaking ocean views was something truly special. It made our stay in Mauritius unforgettable. A very special mention has to go to the General Manager, Dheeraj. He is genuinely one of the most phenomenal individuals we have ever come across in hospitality. His kind hearted nature, warmth, professionalism and the way he personally engages with every guest are on another level. He leads by example, and you can see his influence throughout the entire hotel. The level of care, passion and attention to detail from the whole team is exceptional. SALT of Palmar didn’t just give us an amazing hotel stay. They gave us an experience we will remember for a very long time. Exceptional people, beautiful facilities, breathtaking views and truly world class hospitality. Without a doubt, one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We cannot recommend SALT of Palmar enough and will absolutely be back!

There was genuinely nothing we didn’t like about the property. From the service and facilities to the location, rooms and overall experience, everything exceeded our expectations. We honestly could not fault our stay.

Beautiful hotel in the Belle Mare region, with crystal clear waters, great beach and amazing amenities. The food was delicious and the rooftop bar is a cosy, intimate place with a good selection of drinks.

I appreciated that there are no TVs in the room, which, I think is supposed to reduce the noise levels. Yoga mat is a nice addition, too. Most staff we interacted with seem to be very friendly and are trying to be helpful. Hotel feels quite original, both in architecture and room concept, as well as the fact that there's no classic reception - instead, check-in is being done in a more casual way at the lobby.

It's unfortunate that hotel is designed in a circular way which causes a lot of echo through hallways so if any guest is loud in the hotel, you are bound to hear it. Also if there's music at the restaurant/bar or the lobby, there's not a single room where music is entirely inaudible due to semi-circular shape and open plan design. If you are not sound-sensitive like we are (especially my wife who is autistic), probably you won't mind it, but we struggled with this and had to have our room changed to the farthest one - which hotel gladly did. We particularly struggled because on that day there was a screening of World Cup finals in the lobby (we booked a hotel just to escape even louder environment of our neighborhood where sports center had a full-night party), but considering that events like that don't happen on a regular basis, I believe that the hotel is otherwise silent during nights.
