Our stay was a great way to start our adventure in the Galapagos.

The location was perfect for us. It was very easy to walk to the main town, while also being just across from the beach and near the walking paths to snorkeling and the Interpretation center. Jose and Lucia were extremely welcoming hosts, and they helped us with details for tours and transfers. we really enjoyed chatting with them. Breakfast was also excellent and fueled us well for our adventures. we also loved our large balcony with hammocks-a perfect place for a vacation siesta! I would 100% return.

There was nothing we did not like.

Our hosts were the best part of our stay

Jose and his Sister were exceptional hosts and made our stay special. Short walk to beach, trails and an interpretation center. Great breakfast. Nice veranda with view.

It’s location is a bit of a walk to the town.

A good 3 days on San Cristobal!!

Family owned business. wonderful and helpful!!!

The room was dated and the mattress quite uncomfortable. our room was #3 and under an overhang so quite dark and dingy. the ocean view is what we thought we booked. they looked very nice and bright.

Great spot, accomodation and owners.

The breakfast is insane! We loved our room, the location right across the street from Playa Mann and it was great for our kids. Owners are hands on and very kind and welcoming.

Wished we could have stayed longer than the two nights we allocated to San Cristobal .

excellent location within a 2 minute walk to the beach area and 5 minutes walk to central village core. Couldn’t be better located. Mix a drink and wander down to Playa Mann Beach for the sunset and be entertained by the sea lions. Totally safe area; but so is the whole island likely .Also a stone’s throw to the interpretation centre and a couple of short interesting hikes to a lookout and another more remote beach. But best were Jose and his wife who run this small family business at the highest professional level. Jose will call and confirm or arrange anything you might ask him to do, even if has nothing to do with his hotel business. And if you only speak English, both Jose and his wife are fluent in English. Jose spent some time in Canada as an Exchange student. Quiet and unassuming but firm and persuasive when advocating for your interests with third parties. Could not have been more impressed and this was not our first travel rodeo. And rarely take the time to do reviews.

We loved San Cristobal. The island is beautiful with a laid back vibe. This hotel was perfectly located to the small tow

Jose, Lucia and all the staff were super friendly and very helpful. They go out of their way to help you.

Remember to bring cash, there are additional service charges if you pay with a credit card. Sadly, we were not able to get cash from the ATM machines in the island.

Cozy rooms close to the Beach

The owners are awesome. they were incredibly helpful and gave us all the information and tips we needed to enjoy our time in San Cristobal. The location is good depending on your priority as it’s near the hiking trials and Playa Mann but further form Restaurants.

As nice as it was the price was hefty. it’s not exactly a 4 star resort but the price seems higher then it should.

Amazing Stay

We cannot say enough good things about staying here. First of all, the owners Jose and Lucia are some of the kindest and warmest people we have ever met. We had so many questions before and during our trip and Jose was absolutely amazing. His recommendations and connections throughout the island were invaluable. He would start working on things for us if he knew we had an issue before we even asked him to. We have traveled extensively internationally and he has been the most helpful person we have ever come across. The breakfast every morning was absolutely delicious. Our room with the patio and hammocks added such a special touch. We loved relaxing out there as we looked at the ocean and enjoyed a good book. The location is perfect. It’s a 5 minute walk to the main part of town. This was awesome as it protected us from the quite vocal sea lions that hang out on the beach all along the Malecon. The hotel is also closer to the lovely walk up to the high view point at La Tijeretas, Punta Carola Beach and the Interpretation Center. Amazing experience. You will not be disappointed.

Staying here makes your vacation

Staying at Casa Play Mann made our experience in the Galapagos. The room view was unbeatable for sunsets. The family the runs the hotel was so kind and helpful, and we learned so much from them.

Best family run hotel on the island - they made our stay amazing!

I could go on forever about how wonderful the family is that runs this hotel. I have never felt so personally cared for by hotel staff in my life. We had a short window of time to visit San Cristobal and a list of things/animals we wanted to see. The family was so helpful and knowledgable, we were able to knock out pretty much everything we wanted. And to top it off, our Ocean View room was spectacular!!!! The view was wonderful, the room was so inviting and comfy I almost felt bad about leaving every day to go on an adventure. The home made breakfasts were delicious. The location was just a few steps from the beach where sea lions congregate and a wonderful set of hiking trails you could take to see breathtaking views and a few marine iguanas!

I wish I could have stayed longer!

Absolutely perfect

Jose and Lu were so welcoming. Helping us plan our day, organising a guided tour, recommending a restaurant, sorting our laundry. They were always on hand to answer our questions or provide help. It genuinely felt like we were their friends, rather than just guests at the hotel. The hotel breakfast was a highlight.....home cooked and delicious with local treats. We only had one night at the Casa Playa Mann, but we wished we had stayed longer. Strongly recommend!!

There really was nothing they could have done better. Our only request perhaps is wine by the glass rather than just by the bottle so we could enjoy the gorgeous terrace

Terrific place to stay.

wonderfully helpful staff. The manager and his family go out of their way to make sure every guest has a terrific time on the island. Facilities are first rate too. Casa Playa Mann should be your first choice if you are visiting San Cristobal.

Superb

Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious. Terrace is beautiful.

In the family rooms the air con falls on the single bed. So can be a bit cold at night if you need air con.

Incredibly welcoming and helpful owner and clean, comfortable, beautiful place to stay!

The fresh breakfast was delicious, and hammocks on the balcony of our room were great, the room was clean and comfortable, and the owner Jose is the absolute best!! He is so welcoming and incredibly helpful and great to talk with. He gave us so many resources for our travels after the Galapagos and helped us with any questions we had. He was wonderful!!

Lucky if you can get it!

The owners are fantastic people! Jose, Lucille and their wonderful Mom run a great small hotel (6 rooms). From the moment we made the reservation, they provided us with all the information we needed to arrive by ferry from Santa Cruz Island and be picked up at the wharf. The suite was lovely and had a great harbor view. The bed was very comfy and there were 2 hammocks to rest in on the terrace. Breakfast every day was super with home baked goods, local fruits and great Galapagos coffee! Lucille assisted us with restaurant references, take-out with delivery to the hotel, taxis, recommendations on tours, and with getting COVID testing when we could not complete one of our Binax tests. They could not have done more to make our stay more wonderful. Truly, one is very lucky to stay at Casa Playa Mann.

Enjoyable stay

Best place we stayed in the whole trip to Galapagos. Jose was very accommodating. Delicious breakfast. Good location. He also offered to help arrange tours and sorted out taxis which was great.

We were pleased with our stay at Galapagos Casa Playa Mann.

We were welcomed by the owners, who continued to provide great services during our stay. The view of the beach and town from the room was beautiful. I enjoyed the hammock on the balcony. The breakfast was very good, and we had a lunch box made for us, when we left early one day.

The shower stream was weak.

Personal touch

Family run and and personal and thoughtful touches, like opening up the balcony for us to use the hammocks for the sunset, offered juice and coffee when we came back from an outing. Jose and his sister shared lots of information on things to do and places to eat. Jose is a tour guide for the islands and speaks great English. We spent a lot of time chatting and getting to know the current and recent state of the islands, how life changed during the pandemic and how the islands are adjusting to reopening. We felt we were treated as if we had had a personal connection before we got there.

This was our first stop in the Galapagos and the most expensive room during our vacation but I thought it was worth the personal touch.

Wish we could have stayed longer

The room and property grounds were beautiful and clean. View from room terrace was breath taking and hammocks&chairs were a nice touch. Easy walk to beach, town and hiking. Staff was very kind and accommodating to our needs.

Friendly Host and Close to the Beach

José was very friendly and I enjoyed our conversations every day during breakfast and after I got back at the end of the day. He was good at recommending things to do on the island as well as getting activities booked. The local beach (Playa Mann) is within walking distance. The rooms were cleaned daily and I always had clean sheets every day.

Service fit for a king and queen

The location and the amenities were simply amazing, but what makes this place standout is the level of service you receive. It’s a family ran business now a days and yes you get treated like family. The staff goes way beyond the call of duty to ensure your stay is not less than perfect. The breakfast is excellent, the rooms are super clean with great hot water and powerful air conditioners.
