The owner was very kind. We had a small problem with the car on the way to the accommodation, and he helped us deal with the police so we could report the incident. Although he speaks little English, he used a translation device to communicate.
The location is unbeatable for visiting the Dewa Mountains.
The food was very well prepared and very traditional, but with little choice: you can’t pick what you eat.
The hot bath is a bit old.

Walking distance from Haguro San and well communicated by bus to Tsuruga. The owners were lovely and if you want to taste a real Japanese homemade cuisine this is your place.
Clean, great food, espacious rooms. Everything a real ryokan has to offer

Charming ryokan within walking distance to Hagurosan. The owners are lovely and really take care of their guests. Would recommend having dinner there as the food is delicious! Can’t recommend staying at Hagurokan enough.
