The place felt like stepping into Animal Crossing with a selection of cottages which were all very nice. You could fit any number of people into these cabins, so staying in a group of 4+ would totaly be possible. Great onsen facilities, sleep on a tatami mat room with a futon which was lovely, and the staff did their absolute best with my low level of japanese, and were very supportive to foreign guests with guides about onsens and local things in english.
It is impossible to stay at this location without a rental car. The nearest town was a 15minute drive away, and while you could Taxi there, there isnt enough to do at the location for more than a one night say. If you are hoping to stay for multiple days (which would be great imo) you would need a car to travel to and from. I did have one and it made the diference.

Cozy nice private cottage in a nice local spot. Clean and friendly staff. Clean bath. Have microwave and kitchen in the cottage
Should consider complementary bath towel for overnight stay travelers (currently charged 200y/person). Cooking utensils are not provided. You need to rent them from the hotel. Everything got charged unless the room fee.

L'endroit est beau (relativement isolé), les bungalows sont assez beaux également et l'onsen est bien.
Les futons sont très minces et le confort spartiate. Des coussins encore plus minces sont fournis pour s'asseoir. Pour dormir la deuxième nuit nous avons dû insister lourdement pour qu'on nous ouvre l'armoire où des futons supplémentaires étaient sous clé. Les serviettes de bain ne sont pas fournies et doivent être louées. De même, les bungalows sont équipés de cuisine, mais aucun équipement n'est fourni, même pas verres et tasses, et doivent aussi être loués.
