Location is perfect if you are looking to explore Nishiki Market! Lots of fun food around this area and then a close walk to the Kamo River and historical streets. Across the river are great bars and restaurants as well!
The room smelled a little funny, the space was smaller than it appeared when advertised and the breakfast was mediocre.

Almost everything location facilities clean friendly
The automated check in!!! I like hunan interaction. They still use people at the desk that have to make sure the machine works. More work for the customer. I want a person to check in and take care of any questions I have.

Excellent location. Walk out of the hotel and you’re in the middle of shopping, restaurants, etc. we loved it.

Location of the hotel was very good for public transportation access, it is very accessible to Kyoto station and nearby areas in the Kyoto downtown district. The area was relatively quiet at night as well.
The breakfast was generally lacking for the price, there was not a lot of options. And the biggest downside were that the bed pillows and blankets were very uncomfortable. It was quite hard and made it difficult to sleep after a long day.
