Onsen visitor

Very Shows era. Very Japanese. Typical Japanese onsen hotel. Quiet and relaxed. Geared for those who like to use the onsen several times a day and relax in their room in between.

Poor transport links to Matsumoto town. One bus an hour. 20 minute journey time. Last bus from.Matsumito 7:15 pm. Few taxis. Definitely recommend a hire car. Staff friendly but not English speaking. You really need to be able to speak some Japanese. No signs or guide info. in English.

Incredible value

The food and the attention were amazing! There are more services than I expected, there are massage machines, body creams and other amenities in the public bath, and the buffet restaurant has lots of options.

The building has seen better times, it looks old, some walls are stained and damaged

The room is not perfectly cleaned. It was on the first floor and it was not allowed to open the window!
