Hotel is located in the quiet Onsen town away from busy Matsumoto. We appreciate the room size, the complimentary refreshments. We had a private onsen which drew in the outside cool crisp air which was a great way to unwind after a day. What was exceptional was the dining. Breakfast and Dinner menu as part of the package was superb. Bonus was the bookshop located beside, which offered a tranquil place to read and reflect. The bookshop was convereted from a bathhouse which was very innovative and nice touch. Hotel offers a free shuttle to interim stop to catch the Alpine bus into Kamikochi which was a good service.
If we were to pick, pillow could have options. That would be helpful. Otherwise, very comfortable stay - room was wide and bright and spacious.

Wonderful warm staff. Excellent location in a beautiful setting. Meals were outstanding.

Everything was perfect, the staff was amazing and helped us when we were in a pickle (the staff spoke good English). They went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed. The food was locally sourced and prepared in front of us.

In room onsen
The food is too complicated from dinner to breakfast. And the location for check in & parking are a bit in convenience.
