Great location with amazing views, quirky with some historic sections making it a really interesting hotel.
Parts were a little dated and needed sprucing (just a bit of repainting here and there) but not really a negative as they were still lovely and part of its charm.

Great view overlooking the Rhine Valley and castles on the other side. Good evening restaurant and breakfast buffet.
We were there during a heat wave so the rooms could have benefitted from a fan or air conditioning.

The view was amazing. beds were comfortable. Breakfast and Dinner in main restaurant were superb and staff was excellent.
Room was so hot. No one offered us a fan nor was there one in our room like most of our stays during this summer in Germany. On our last of 3 nights we discovered one in the hallway that another room was done with and grabbed it. Check in was okay but the staff person didnt even offer any help with our bags when walking us to our building. The cafe staff are awful. We were referred there by main restaurant when they called to request to push our dinner reservation back another hour and we said we would need a snack. They said the cafe was open another 30 mins. We went right down only for the guy to tell us they were closed. We said we at least needed a cold drink. He said no and we could look on patio to see they were full. the entire interior was open. he finally relented us to sitting inside, where he ignored us for 25 of the 30 mins. During that time he seated two more groups of two. We watched 2 guys (non hotel guests) be seated outside and a couple (hotel guests) inside who promptly received a bottle of wine and bottle of water on ice, then cake. Eventually we received our 2 cold drinks. Not a good way to welcome new guests.
