The gentleman in reception who greeted us was most friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for us as my husband arrived the night earlier and I flew out the day before so it was a very short taxi ride for me. We are travelling on motorbike and the on site parking was a bonus.

We needed a one-night stay after arriving late by air at BSL into the Swiss sector and then needing to depart Basel by Swiss train mid-morning the next day. There were two IBIS hotels available on the French side of BSL airport - we choose the one at Blotzheim for it's availability.
Check-in is until 23:30 hrs - we arrived by taxi from BSL at 23:20 hrs. We were quickly allocated our room and tucked up in bed by midnight - a very efficient reception! Note that you must exit BSL airport from the French sector if you want a taxi to a French-located hotel (taxis don't like crossing international borders).
Our room was well-appointed and comfortable. Good WiFi was available.
Breakfast was typical "continental" fare with some western (UK/USA) choices - perfectly adequate for a nice start to the day's travelling!
The hotel runs a shuttle service to BSL airport (by pre-booking at reception) - but only to the French sector of the airport (if you are travelling onwards via Swiss buses and trains you must cross from the French sector to the Swiss sector within the airport building). The shuttle left on time as requested - perfect, yet again!
Useful tip: If departing Basel SSB by train to elsewhere in Switzerland, book your train ticket from Basel (BSL) airport to your final destination and the cost of the Bus 50 to/from Basel SSB will be included in your train ticket - saves buying a bus ticket (5 CHF) at the airport.

Incheck went well and fast. Rooms were well isolated and breakfast was OK
Airco made lots of noise and air quality seemed to be low as we all woke up with a sore troat
