Spotless, good communication and instruction on parking and entry. Extras in room very welcome - cold water and refreshment tray.

This was, quite probably, one of the best overnight stops that my wife and I have ever made. The facilities were outstanding, our bed was very comfortable, parking was easy, a nice bathroom, a kitchenette that was above standard and our host - Hope - was not only delightful but exceptionally efficient and welcoming. Our two Golden Retrievers enjoyed our stay as much as we did - plenty of space, a patio to lie on and a garden to roam. They loved it ! An excellent pub some 200 yards down the road that did excellent food that was the icing on the cake ! We fully intend to stay here on our way back from Northumberland en route for Cornwall and home.

The location was very convenient for this family visit-there were 3 of us occupying 2 rooms .
The owner was on the premises and called by after we had self checked in .
There were enough kitchen facilities to self-cater a 'continental breakfast ' and there was a close-by public house that also opened in the morning to serve cooked breakfast if required
There was an outside patio area at the back with view over fields - good if you brought your own refreshments and picnic
The main road running past the property was reasonably busy as quite close to a motorway junction - the M1 motorway itself probably contributed a steady background noise but also its nearness was a plus factor for easily accessing the property.
I am not a fan of Airb&B type arrangements for self check in and self service but understand that its a personal preference
I felt the pricing was somewhat expensive - more suited to a business ( expense account ) traveller and if for example a Premier Inn had been in a suitably nearby location then that would probably suit me better

The little apartment was beautifully put together, compact but everything needed. The shower room was far better than some high end hotels. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Parking directly outside. Safe and secure door entry. Nice touches of biscuits and water in the room, plus essential toiletries in the shower room. Gravelled seating area, accessed to the side, and a secure area for anyowith a dog. Friendly and helpful owner. A really delightful stay. Would recommend
Road a little noisy with the window open, but not too obtrusive through the night
