The staff was excellent: friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy, with very comfortable beds and excellent in-room technology. Breakfast was also superb, with a wide range of choices, particularly the daily specials. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
The only minor inconvenience was that, when everything was very quiet late at night or early in the morning, I could occasionally hear guests in the nearby rooms talking or watching television. This is understandable given that the hotel is a converted house, and it certainly did not detract from an otherwise excellent stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Watermead Hotel in Chard. Both Jamie and Gary were fantastic hosts and the hotel is first class, right from the central location, through to the comfortable and exceptionally clean room to the delicious breakfast. They have thought of everything and all their thoughtful little touches and helpful advice on the surrounding areas makes for a very pleasant stay. You won't be disappointed!

This felt like a fantastic find. We arrived very late, and so the simple self check in procedure was hugely appreciated. An extremely comfortable room, with access to great facilities. The breakfast the next morning was wonderful, served by very friendly and helpful host. Our stay here was a definite highlight of our trip.
